I learned the piano and pipe organ growing up and an interest in synthesisers and electronics led me to Glasgow University to study Electronics with Music. After graduation I worked in various studios assisting sound engineers.
I've been writing music since my teens, initially inspired by the electronic sounds of Vangelis and Jean-Michel Jarre, and later by pop, rock and classical influences like The Pet Shop Boys, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie and Messiaen. An early track 'Fly By Wire' was featured in Future Music Magazine. The song I Dream of Barbie was featured in the theGuardian and was chosen as part of the music magazine The Quietus's selection for The Dark Outside broadcast in 2017.
Recently I composed a 70s/80s horror inspired soundtrack for the independent film The Girl With The Two Masks, which premiered at the Barcelona Film Festival.
As a library music composer my work has included a range of styles including solo piano, electronic and orchestral albums.
As a keyboardist I've played to thousands as part of the popular function band the 29 Fingers
